Increase branded credit card applications in the retailer’s low-performing regional stores.
Scroll DownA branded credit card was just one of the services this national retailer offered to its customers. When some of its regional stores were underperforming with applications for the card, they needed a new approach to get employees talking with consumers.
Increase branded credit card applications by 40% in the retailer’s low-performing regional stores and engage store managers and credit card champions to focus employees on asking customers to complete applications.
BI WORLDWIDE took charge and developed a 60-day GoalQuest® program. With the program, each store manager and credit card champion committed to an application goal—30%, 40% or 60% increase in applications over the previous 60 days. The higher the goal, the higher the payout of AwardperQs®— points redeemable for thousands of options in name-brand merchandise, travel and event tickets. To sustain engagement with participants, welcome kits, award flyers, digital mailers and weekly reports tracking their progress were sent.
When the GoalQuest program ended, credit card applications exceeded the 40% goal with a realized increase of 52%. As for each store, the retailer was proud to announce the average number of applications processed in each store was 174.
